amazing, I never imagine if Cisco lab can accessed online. Just signup, make reservation and do real thing you want in real lab. While you’re in China you can access Cisco lab in USA 🙂
I found two labs that might be useful for you :
1. Firewall CX
From their site :
The Firewall.cx Cisco lab is a project that started in November 2004. Its purpose, to create the world’s first free, fully equipped Cisco lab and help the community learn and gain hands-on experience with Cisco equipment.
The investment made on this project is remarkable and next to none. Over $US10,000 has been spent on the lab equipment and various peripherals, aiming to provide the best possible simulations a lab can give. Hundreds of hours in research and development have been put in by our Team and other developers in order to enhance the labs and deliver an outstanding quality of service not found even on rented Cisco labs currently on the market.
Our lab is based on real Cisco equipment complemented by services such as ISDN simulators providing real ISDN calls between our routers, TFTP servers to allow you to save and restore your configurations and many more.
Each lab is split into two or more tutorials to gradually increase the experience and knowledge gained. The tutorials are carefully designed to focus on important details that might be required in the real world, while at the same time covering sections of Cisco’s CCNA and CCNP certifications.
The equipment comprising our labs make it possible to cover up to the CCNP level of Cisco certifications.
The flexibility offered by our labs is equally impressive; you are not confined in any way, and are allowed to freely modify all equipment you have access to. This gives you the ability to create and test your own setups, to help you troubleshoot problems or test new designs which can then be applied in your real working environment
Provide Cisco lab equipment has been installed in a 26U – 19′ inch rack, complemented by blue neon lighting and a 420VA UP to keep everything running smoothly, should a blackout occur.
Firewall CX have three labs :
- The lab’s Catalyst 1912 supporting two cascaded 1603R routers, and a 501 PIX Firewall.
- The lab’s two 1603R routers
- Three high-end Cisco switches flooded in blue lighting, making VLAN services a reality. Also optical links connecting the three switches together, permitting complex STP scenarios.
Make sure check lab 1 tutorial
2. FreeCiscoLab
The lab is powered by a cisco access server which gives full access to the console port of each device in the lab. When your registered timeslot becomes avaiable, you telnet into the access server on port 23 using any standard telnet client.
Same as Firewall CX, make reservation first 🙂
3. Free Labs
Free-Labs.com supplies access to live cisco equipment over the internet. Certification Candidates and Network Analysts can study protocol behavior, simulate network problems, or test new deployments.
Why are we doing this for free? – Because we know how difficult it can be to afford access to real Cisco equipment while working on your certifications. Also, we hope that by offering you this exceptional service, you will become comfortable enough with our company to buy our Expert-Labs timeslots, when the time comes for more serious network analysis or deeper CCIE-level study.
Overview – Pod #1 |
The Pod 1 Lab Topology includes 7 routers, 1 switch, 9 serial links and 7 Ethernet links. The star topology hubbed on router 7 is ideal for Frame Relay or any NBMA type protocol simulation. All devices are equipped with the most feature-rich software available, allowing simulations of virtually all routing protocols, and even IPv6.
Overview – Pod #3 |
Pod #3’s Topology is slightly different, with 2 less routers. Use the Frame Relay Mesh to learn your Routing Protocols inside out!
After learning how to configure the lab, I suggest that you increase your knowledge in security and experience by receiving a cissp certification or by attending a computer forensics boot camp course.
I’ll update this list, soon as I find other lab.
